I think many of us can agree laundry is a never-ending chore in our household, at least in my house. It’s like the moment we are done with washing, here comes another load. Through the years of having to do laundry, I have learned some laundry tips and tricks to make it easier and to save my clothes from being ruined. These tips I’ve either learned from others or have learned through my adult years. I have five laundry tips and tricks you all to consider if you haven’t already!
Laundry Tips Tricks for your Household
Laundry Tip #1: Select the Correct Water Temperature
One of the first laundry tips to take note of is the selection of water temperature. The water temperature when you’re doing laundry can prevent you from ruining your clothes, making it last longer. We all know clothes aren’t cheap, so we need to preserve the quality for as long as possible. When you’re washing delicates, dark clothes, items that may shrink or bleed, you should use cold water. You should use warm water for dress shirts or clothes that are dirty enough to the point that they may stain. Lastly, when you’re washing white clothes (cotton) bedsheets, clothes with stains from oil or grease, and towels, hot water is best.
Laundry Tip #2: Select the right Laundry Detergent
Selecting the right laundry detergent for your clothes is essential. First, this is the most important laundry tip because your soap can make all the difference. It’s human nature to choose the laundry detergent your parents have used all your life, because it’s what you are most comfortable with. I recently decided to go out of the norm for my laundry detergent, and I am beyond happy that I did. I am currently using the Gain with Essential Oils Laundry Detergent, and they have three variations I am sure you’ll love! The three variations include:
Gain with Essential Oils Laundry Detergent
You can soothe your senses with the new Gain with Essential Oils, concentrated liquid detergent. My favorite one of the three scents is the Lavender & Calm Chamomile. As said on the Gain website, Tthe serene scent of lavender essential oil blended with the gentle aroma of chamomile petals and notes of florals and patchouli inspires you to take a deep. A relaxing breath. Use Gain with Essential Oils Lavender & Calm Chamomile in your wash, and escape the ordinary with delightfully dreamy, clean clothes. Thanks to its concentrated formula, a little goes a long way. However, trust me when I tell you all you need is a small-cap. You don’t need the average big-cap full of laundry detergent! Each of the Gain with Essential Oils liquid laundry detergent is infused with the scent you choose and gives your clothes a refreshingly clean and a fragrance that’s going to keep you wanting to wash clothes! The Gain Laundry Detergent is made to work in all types of washing machines and has been formulated with 100% renewable wind- power electricity. My favorite part? It contains no dyes, phosphate, CFCs or parabens, and it delivers the performance of a dream, even in a cold wash!
Your clothes feel the softest, refreshing, and so relaxing when you put it on. It’s like it calms me down as soon as it touches my skin. As I said earlier the one we use the most is the Lavender & Calm Chamomile. You can seriously experience the scent of essential oils every wear. I am a lover all things lavender essential oil, so this is the chosen one in my home.

Last but not Least
#3 of the Laundry Tips and Tricks: Use Less Laundry Detergent
Lastly, one of the biggest keys to doing laundry is how much laundry detergent you use. Sometimes I feel like the more laundry detergent you use the better but that’s completely incorrect. When you add more detergent than you should, you run the risk of creating soil surds that redeposit onto your clothes while washing. Thankfully, Gain with Essential Oils is formulated so you only have to add a small cap.
